Portrait Photography Unlike most portrait photography that people have experienced, we view each and every person as a unique individual. The emphasis is on the person, their personality, and that is what we strive to capture on film. Which is why we dont use gimmicky, or cluttered backgrounds. We keep the backgrounds simple, keeping the emphasis and the attention on the person. It is also imperative that the subject is in a relaxed, non-hurried environment. For this reason, we never schedule our sittings close together. Unlike the production-line portraits, as in depatment store studios, and school pictures, we make sure we have enough time to work with each individual, time for them to relax, and to ensure that that the portrait we shoot is custom, from the type of lighting we select, to the expressions we capture. For portrait photography, we charge a sitting fee of $35. This fee is the same for studio sittings or location sittings, within 30 miles of our studio. There is no additional charge for shooting the sitting in your home or location of your choice within the 30 mile radius. Your sitting can be done in color or black and white, whichever you prefer. Prices are quoted upon request. Negative Retouching If requested, negative retouching is available, at the cost of $12 per negative. For senior pictures, retouching of one negative is included in package price. Commercial and Layout Design For our commercial and corporate clients, we offer a variety of services, including product illustration, annual report photography, and event coverage. We will work within your layout, provided by your creative staff, or we will provide the creative ideas for the project, at your request. We are equipted to handle a number of camera formats, from 35mm to 4x5, depending on the job requirements. The charges for our commercial photography and our layout design work is based on a time, plus materials charge. Our rates are as follows; Full day rate is $575, 1/2 day rate is $300, Hourly rate is $80 per hour. Materials, such as film, processing, rental fees, etc; are additional charges. Milage is charged for at $0.30 per mile. Model Photography We offer a number of services for established or aspiring models, for children and adults, both male and female. This includes portfolio and composite photographs, and model testing. If you're just starting out, we recommend scheduling test shots. This is a good way to see how you feel in front of the camera, and how that comes across in the photos. Testing is also a good way for established models to add new photographs to their existing portfolio, and still keeping the cost very affordable. Since any good portfolio includes shots from more than one photographer, it is a good way to add something new, a different style or vision to your book. For modeling test shots, we shoot 35mm, 1 roll of 36 exposure. The time required to do this is between one and two hours. Although testing usually includes just head shots, we will also do some 3/4 and full length poses, depending on your wardrobe selection for the shoot. The cost of testing is $110, and includes 2 - 8x10 prints. You also keep all the proofs. Photo Restoration With the ability of digital imaging, we are able to bring your faded, cracked, or otherwise damaged photos back to life. Your original photo is scanned, producing a digital file to work on, and keeping the handling of your original to a minimum. The charge for this service is $50 and hour, with most jobs taking an hour or less. All restoration work needs to be quoted individually. We need to see the original first, to anticipate any special requirements for the completion of the work. |
